点评：We had a wonderful time during our horseback ride at Triple L Ranch in Maui. My husband and I were matched with the perfect horses by our guide Steven (me, a bit anxious was paired with Angel, and yes, she was my "therapy horse" lol). One of the amazing ranch hands, Luis, was there to make sure every guest felt welcomed and comfortable - a very kind soul. We rode though open terrain with breathtaking views on vistas in part, overlooking the ocean, stopping occasionally for times of interesting historical facts of the land (cinder cone where Hawaiian royalty were buried, facts about the cattle on the land, neighboring villagers...) We paused on an overlook to have pics of us taken on our cell phones - Steven seemed to tailor the ride for our enjoyment...nothing forced or rushed, just a few magical hours of quiet joy. This group is part of the Spirit Horse Ranch whose mission statement is to foster healing through trust and connection between horses and humans. To listen to their vision was healing in itself - no horse at Triple L is used as a trail horse past the age of 25 and retires there for the rest of their lives. While in retirement, they work as "therapy horses" with their mantra seemingly to be no matter where you are in your life, it's good to offer whatever your gifts are to work in the lives of others, making a difference for the both of you. It was one seemingly routine days that will rest on my heart forever.
