水晶桥美国艺术博物馆的点评
点评：The Crystal Bridges Museum is an architectural gem. The grounds are amazing! Frank Lloyd Wright’s Bachman House moved from New Jersey!
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! Forest trails of artwork, galleries of artwork, the Usonian Home. General Admission is FREE. We did not need the paid, escorted, tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright Usonian nor did we purchase tickets to the “Get in the game” special exhibit. We did buy lunch to enjoy in their ELEVEN Restaurant.
The art galleries are not organized formally as in many Museums. It was slightly discombobulating to have several pieces of pottery between paintings, with no connection in time period, geography, or culture. There were several seating areas throughout the galleries.
The outside exhibits are great. In the galleries there is a garden display with a unique musical concept. On the pathways the exhibits range from whimsical to thought provoking.
Lunch was good, but limited for someone with multiple food allergies. Dishes cannot be altered to remove an allergen, like cranberries on a salad. I chose their version of a Shrimp Po’Boy. It was a good shrimp sandwich, but I wouldn’t call it a Po’Boy. My husband got the Chef Salad.
The gift shop was good!
