点评:I’ve now been on two trips with Horizon III, and overall the experience has been really good. The crew is genuinely sweet and service-minded, the diving has been excellent, and the food has been very good as well.
That said, not everything has been perfect. On both trips there were issues with the dhoni, and we had to use a replacement. This created some chaos on arrival, and more importantly led to missing nitrox. That resulted in shorter and less conservative dives, which is obviously unfortunate. I understand that things like this can happen and aren’t always easy to control, but experiencing the same issue twice feels like a bit much. Credit where it’s due though, the cruise director did his best to handle the situation and compensate the guests, which was appreciated.
The liveaboard itself is okay, but nothing more than that. There’s quite a bit of scuffed paint, small damages and some broken amenities. Nothing unsafe or unsanitary, but it definitely doesn’t feel like it’s in top condition either.
On the last trip we had Manduu, Deniz, Steven and Chacha as guides, and they were all fantastic. Warm, professional, and great in the water. Honestly, whatever was lacking on the practical side was largely made up for by their personalities and effort.
Overall, Horizon III delivers great diving, a lovely crew and good food, but there are some recurring logistical and maintenance issues that hold it back from being a truly top-tier experience.
