Great Trail Ride Experience: I Wish It Was Longer

点评：My daughter and I were visiting the area and decided to try the horseback ride, and we’re so glad we did. When we initially called and texted the night before, there were no openings, but Cowboy Bob reached out the next day after a cancellation and offered us available time slots—which we really appreciated.
When we arrived, we headed over to the red barn where our guide, John, was getting everything ready. While we waited, we chatted with Bob and spent some time with one of the older horses. Bob and John worked together to match us with the right horses, asking about our previous riding experience and comfort levels to make sure we felt at ease.
John was friendly, personable, and clearly very knowledgeable. He explained everything he was doing and why before we got on, which helped us feel comfortable and prepared. Before heading out on the trail, he walked us through a gated riding area so we could get a feel for the horses.
We rode Chocolate and Strawberry—both were gentle and easy to ride. Chocolate was especially suited for nervous or less experienced riders, and both horses were so well-trained they practically followed the trail on their own. John led the way but also offered to walk alongside us if we preferred, which was a great gesture.
The trail itself was easy and relaxing, and we made a few stops along the way where John happily took photos for us using our phones. He was very accommodating and encouraged us to capture as many moments as we wanted. Throughout the ride, he kept up a great conversation, sharing local recommendations, history, and seasonal activities.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we’ll definitely be back.
