点评：There is something truly magical about standing face-to-face with one of South Africa’s most beloved seabirds while witnessing conservation in action. Our visit to the The African Penguin and Seabird Sanctuary in Gansbaai was both heartwarming and inspiring.
Dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing injured and abandoned penguins and seabirds, the sanctuary offers visitors a unique glimpse into the incredible work being done to protect our precious marine life.
Watching these beautiful penguins recover and prepare for their return to the wild was a powerful reminder of the importance of conservation and the role we all play in preserving our natural heritage for future generations.
A must-visit experience for families, nature lovers and anyone passionate about wildlife conservation.
Visitor Information:
* Location: Van Dyks Bay, Gansbaai
* Opening Hours: Daily from 09:00 to 16:00
* Penguin Feeding Time: Daily at 15:00
* Entrance: Free, although donations are greatly appreciated to support conservation efforts.
Visitors can observe penguins undergoing rehabilitation through viewing windows, learn about marine conservation through interactive displays, enjoy refreshments at the café and browse the gift shop.

We brought home a fluffy penguin and named him Tuk Tuk.
