Poor customer service in plant department

点评：I've always chosen Byrkley Park if I wanted a plant for a gift . You paid more but I felt it was worth it to get a better quality plant than in our local Waitrose or Tesco.
However my experience when my husband chose an orchid to take as a gift was far from good.
The orchid was in full bloom with no visible new growth coming through. If the plant was reduced in price it's what I would have expected. However at full price I realised that it wasn't going to be long before we were looking at two bare branches as the flowers wouldn't last that long.
We therefore had to buy our friends another plant on our way to see them.
I took the plant back to Brykley as soon as we got back and was told by a very rude 'customer service manager' that it was not their policy to guarantee indoor plants and the heat had caused the plant to flower more quickly than expected.
I was left with the plant and as predicted the flowers are falling off in quick succession after only 3 weeks.
One unhappy customer who will take my business elsewhere in future.
