点评：What a superb and delightful museum this is.
Whilst up from Exeter visiting friends, who themselves spoke enthusiastically about Morayvia, I spent a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon there.
Morayvia takes a very hands-on approach to engaging visitors and promoting aviation history, supported by a dedicated team of friendly and knowledgeable volunteers. At first glance, the outdoor exhibit layout may appear a little disorganised, but work is currently underway to construct an additional hangar. This in no way detracts from the experience of getting up close to the various aircraft and helicopters. If anything, it adds to the charm and character of the place.
Many of the aircraft and cockpit sections can be accessed, climbed into, and explored, often accompanied by fascinating stories from the ever-present volunteers. Most are RAF veterans with many years of service, particularly within the Maritime Reconnaissance Force, flying aircraft such as the Shackleton and Nimrod. Given Morayvia's proximity to the former RAF Kinloss, this is perhaps unsurprising and adds considerable authenticity to the experience.
Inside, there are many more displays to enjoy, including aviation equipment, cockpit sections, engines, a superb collection of models, and much more besides. There is also a well-stocked gift shop offering a variety of souvenirs and memorabilia. The admission fee is very reasonable for the experience you get.
I thoroughly enjoyed my three hours there and could easily have spent much longer had I not been working to a tight schedule. I will certainly return and would wholeheartedly recommend a visit to anyone with an interest in aviation history, engineering, or simply a fascinating and enjoyable day out.
