Wonderful tour, amazing animals, humane conditions
Zoo to You (Conservation Ambassadors)的点评
点评：My wife is a huge animal lover so I've been looking for a while for a trip like this. But part of that is her being very keen on animal welfare and safety, so in researching a birthday trip with an animal experience, many were ruled out due to the animals being exploited or mistreated. I searched all over the west coast for someoenthing involving a wide variety of animals with an impeccable reputation for how they treat their animals and Conservation Ambassadors was one of the only ones that really fit the bill.
I don't want to be so specific as to ruin the surprise of the experience, but in the two hour private tour with Lisa, we saw such a wide variety of animals and were able to hold, touch, and interact with many of them and were kindly told we couldn't with animals who wouldn't enjoy it or for animals in which it wouldn't be good for them. This was reassuring and we met all of the animals on their own terms (some shy, some downright lap-ready). All along the way, Lisa was a fountain of knowledge about the animal and the property and their goals for rescue and rehabilitation. She could not have been more passionate and dedicated and personable and we left learning a lot without ever feeling lectured. She was a wonderful host and we would love to return.
I was not able to find another program quite like it and we felt good knowing that if the experience felt premium priced, it was because the money was going to a good cause to help a wide variety of animals who we were able to meet in a humane and helpful way. We will most definitely be going back.
