点评:I visited the Oppenheimer-Prager Museum at Dayspring in June, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of my trip to Saint Andrews.
I’ll admit that I’m not someone who considers myself a huge art enthusiast, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But the experience was so much more than looking at paintings. The experience brought the history of the home, the family and the artwork to life in such an interesting and engaging way. I found myself completely caught up in the stories behind what I was seeing.
One of the highlights of my visit was having the opportunity to meet Vincent Prager, the son of Eva Prager and grandson of Joseph Oppenheimer. Meeting him and hearing a little of the personal history behind the collection made the visit feel especially meaningful. You could really sense how much care and dedication has gone into preserving his family’s remarkable legacy and sharing it with visitors.
Dayspring itself is fascinating, and combined with the artwork, family history, memorabilia and the stories connected to the people who passed through its doors, it makes for a truly unique experience.
I went in thinking I was simply going to visit an art museum, but I left feeling that I had experienced a fascinating piece of history and had been given a glimpse into the lives of an extraordinary family.
I would highly recommend the Oppenheimer-Prager Museum at Dayspring. It is one of those places that stays with you after you leave. Thank you to Vincent and staff for making my visit so memorable!
