Fantastic Day Skipper Course with Supportive Instructors

点评：My husband, my son and I attended a sailing course with Learn to Sail last month, and we had a fantastic experience.
We completed our Competent Crew course four years ago, so we were feeling a little rusty before we started. Mark and Jane had reassured us that this wouldn’t be a problem, and they were absolutely right.
We completed the five-day Day Skipper theory course in the classroom, followed by five days of practical Day Skipper training out on the boat, which was lovely and spacious, with four cabins. Mark was our instructor for the classroom-based part of the course, and Lewis instructed us on the boat.
The course was paced exactly right for us, with plenty of time to ask questions, revisit anything we were unsure about, and check our understanding throughout the theory sessions. We also spent time on the boat getting familiar with where everything was, including the safety equipment, before moving on to the practical sailing.
During the practical course, we were given lots of opportunities to practise and build confidence. I was particularly worried about mooring the boat and reversing it between two other boats, but with Luis’s calm guidance right by my side, I managed it first time and then had three more goes to really build my confidence. I now feel very comfortable with it.
Overall, it was a brilliant course with supportive, knowledgeable instructors, and I would highly recommend Learn to Sail to anyone wanting to learn or improve their sailing skills.
