My Old Kentucky Dinner Train的点评
点评：Loved our lunch excursion! Lindsay and the friendly staff were efficient at keeping everything on schedule from check-in to departure. Food and beverages arrived and plates were cleared in a timely fashion. Entrees of stuffed acorn squash and grilled halibut were delicious and delicately seasoned. Salad was incredibly fresh and rolls were yeasty with real butter.
Desserts were good and the chocolate lava cake was exceptionally good! We booked for four but one was unable to attend so the staff boxed up the extra meal for us to take.
Reservations and parking were simple. I was grateful to get a timely email response to one of my questions.
My only complaint was shortage of restrooms in depot. After the excursion, almost every female passenger was on line for the ladies’ room that had only three (maybe four?) stalls. We opted for the men’s room that had only one toilet. Restrooms are available on board but it is a rocky walk down on a moving train to get there.
Overall I highly recommend the excursion whether you are on vacation or live just 60 miles away like us. A great escape that made us feel like WE were on vacation!
Insider tip: bring a sweater or jacket if you tend to get chilly like me.
