点评:We entered via the temporary exhibition of "Ten Thousand and One Objects: A Life of Collectors" (Dix mille et un objets) which did not interest me at all seeming at first to be a collection of collections such as lego, coins, etc. However, this exhibition also contained items from the Vallentin du Cheylard archaeological collection which did interest me more.
I found the permanent collection with the artifacts recovered from the Orange Roman theatre with its mosaics, statues, archeological artifacts and carvings to be the most interesting. The Orange cadastres give an incomplete plan of the colony and are unique if fragmentary. Upstairs had a small medieval section and displayed rooms of furnishings and art works by Albert de Belleroche and Frank Brangwyn. Our theatre ticket included the museum and as it was just across the road it was no extra cost and not much extra effort to see this museum.
