Fantastic day at Goa Rangreng!

点评：This spot was one of the highlights of our trip to Bali! We hired a guide when we purchased our tickets on site. His name is Koma (sorry if I got the spelling wrong). He was a so amazing! He gave us so much information: told us where to step to avoid large rocks in the water and especially slippery spots, carried a wet bag with our waters and valuables inside and even was our photographer and took AMAZING pictures of my sister and me! He even gave us hints on how to pose. We felt like models. 🥰
There are numerous waterfalls to see and he and the men from his village have hand carved steps into rocks to make it easier to navigate. He told us about the gentleman who, during Covid, spent almost 2 years carving the most intricate designs into stone that then covered over with moss, making the most gorgeous scenes. They are located along the main stairwell as you start your hike.
Be sure to do the swing. It was so fun and the pictures are worth it! On the big waterfall don’t be afraid to climb and stand in the center of the waterfall. I’m 60 and did it with no problem. Your guide will even lead you up there holding your hand and then run around getting the greatest photos!
In all, we spent about 3.5 hours there and could have stayed longer. There is so much beauty to take in. If you have your own water shoes, I suggest you bring them. My sister accidentally left hers at the hotel and had to use their shoes and they are much more slippery than having your own.
Don’t forget to tip your guide well! Thank you Koma for a day we will never forget!
