The Perfect Outlander Day — Ian Was Absolutely Amazing!

点评：Our custom Outlander day tour with Ian of Best of Scotland Custom Tours was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Scotland. We were a group of three, my mom, my mother-in-law, and me, and this trip was a very special “girls’ trip” for us. Our day with Ian ended up being one of those experiences we know we’ll be talking about for years to come.
As huge Outlander fans, visiting the filming locations was a dream come true. Ian took us to Midhope Castle (Lallybroch), Culross, Blackness Castle (Fort William), Linlithgow Palace (Wentworth Prison), and Doune Castle (Castle Leoch). Every stop was amazing, but Ian made the experience so much more than simply visiting famous filming locations.
He is incredibly knowledgeable about Outlander, Scottish history, and the places we visited, and he had a wonderful way of bringing everything to life. His stories and insights made us appreciate each location so much more. You could tell that Ian genuinely loves Scotland and loves sharing it with visitors...and that passion really came through.
What we appreciated most, though, was how thoughtful and accommodating Ian was with our group. Traveling with two ladies in their 70s meant that having someone who was patient, attentive, and mindful of our pace was incredibly important. Ian never made us feel rushed and was always making sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. He somehow managed to make the entire day feel effortless.
And he was just so much fun to spend the day with! We laughed, learned, took an unbelievable number of pictures, and made memories that the three of us will treasure. By the end of the day, it honestly felt less like we were on a tour and more like we had spent the day exploring Scotland with a friend who happened to know everything about Outlander and Scottish history.
The custom aspect of the tour was also fantastic. Ian listened to what we wanted to see and created a day that was perfect for us. He gave us the freedom to enjoy each location without feeling like we were watching the clock, while also making sure we got the most out of our day.
If you are an Outlander fan, book Ian. Seriously. And even if you're not an Outlander fan, I would highly recommend Best of Scotland Custom Tours for anyone who wants a personal, knowledgeable, and truly memorable way to experience Scotland.
