点评：People asked why we got the train from Melbourne to Adelaide, but for us it worked really well. We picked up drinks, breakfast and lunch from near Southern Cross and settled down with earphones, books, magazines and cards to enjoy the journey. It gave some welcome respite between busy days of exploring and sightseeing, and gave us a different way to see the countryside. We knew before booking it wouldn't be luxurious, we found it worked well for us. Seats aren't allocated in advance, but we were sat together with a window. The only chaotic aspect was collecting luggage in Adelaide, with station staff and the Train Manager giving different information as to how it should be collected and being sent from place to place. We ended up collecting it from by the train, so we could get on the way to our accommodation.
