点评：All good. Excellent actually. 4 day end of season transfer trip to get some proper sailing done as own boat ashore. It did not feel like a charter trip, more like a group of pals having a social cruise together. Skipper & crew can vary but I was very lucky to have Patrick (ex Clipper RTW race skipper) who is very safety aware and imparted his considerable experience in a relaxed way, Hamish , 1st Mate also very experienced and easy going and the amazing Katrina, the host and crew who constantly served up fab food, snacks and hot drinks at all times of the day and night and at any angle of boat heel. The other guests added to the social experience with some being regular volunteers on Taeping and one the first time on a boat Every evening included navigating to a different hostelry to partake of liquid sustenance and socialising. Route planning was very democratic and guest input welcomed. Particularly enjoyable was the 4am start to round the Mull when we saw lots of satellites and space junk flying across the clear starry sky and the sunrise as we reached Kintyre. We had amazing weather for Scotland in September, sun and good winds not even any rain but Taeping is the type of yacht that would take anything in her stride. She is an ex Clipper round world race yacht with the associated basic amenities such as the bunks which are surprising comfortable and add to the experience. Highly recommended if you are considering booking whether a complete novice or experienced sailor. Many thanks to Patrick, Hamish and Katrina and my fellow crew for a great week.
