点评:We will not be returning. We went to a Neil Young concert in May, 2024. It was overcast. When we got to our seats it started raining. We had brought ponchos so settled in. All of a sudden there was lightening. Soon after a guy near the stage started shouting to get out and seek shelter. He was barely audible and everyone was confused. Trying to get clarification from workers at the venue, no one knew what was going on except to tell us we had to leave the venue. So we started heading towards the gate in the pouring down rain with lightening. A prerecorded message came on telling everyone to leave. Most people were standing under eaves. Asking others who worked there what was going on, no one knew. When we got to the front gate there were two men there who knew what was going on. They said we had to leave the venue. The safe place to shelter was around a fence and ‘walk that way towards a paddock.’ We got out of the venue and stood in the rain with thunder for over an hour, not knowing if the concert would take place or not. Returning to our car was not an option because parking was about a mile away. While we stood in the rain there were no updates on the status of the concert. We just heard the prerecorded message over and over. Get out. Seek shelter. After an hour we saw people at the front of the line beginning to leave. No message came about the concert. We made it to the gate where one man who knew what was going on told us the concert had been cancelled. We then began our trek back to our car, a mile away. There had been shuttles to get us from our car to the venue, but with the amount of people all leaving at the same time, they were not sufficient.
Apparently, they do not have a PA system. A guy shouting from near the stage to get out is not good. They need to train their staff to know what to do in the case of an evacuation. More updates to concert goers needs to be the norm. The concert should have been cancelled sooner. Information on shuttle service should have been provided.
One more thing. There are not enough stationary landmarks in parking areas to be able to find your car. We were in parking lot H, but there were no landmarks to let you remember where your car was. The way we found ours my husband had noted that it was about 100 yards from the entrance of that lot. We will not return.
