点评:After putting this off for years, I finally went to the Topaz Museum in Delta, Utah. I had an amazing experience there and was able to meet with Jane Beckwith, who is the founder of the museum. Jane took time out of her busy schedule to show me around the museum and shared with me her love, enthusiasm and dedication to the history of Delta, Utah and her efforts to preserve and honor the memory of the thousands of Japanese Americans who were “relocated“ to the Topaz Mountain camp.
The museum includes numerous artifacts donated by families with direct connections to the Topaz Mountain camp. They have outstanding displays to educate adults and children pieces of art work made by some of the incarcerees. I would highly recommend this museum to individuals, youth groups and families who want to learn about the tragic and difficult experiences of these Japanese Americans during World War II. Thank you Jane for your kindness and time to teach me. Highly recommended museum!
