Round Trip Covington TH to Mandeville TH

点评：My wife and I rode the Tammany Trace round trip from the Covington TH to the Mandeville TH. Considering that I’m a senior citizen and only an occasional, short distance bike rider, I still found the trail very enjoyable and easy to ride with the terrain being flat. The round trip ride, with a side ride from the Mandeville TH to the Lake Pontchartain north shore line, was about 25 miles. The last few miles were a bit tiring, but that should be expected considering my bike riding experience. BUT I MADE IT! The March weather was perfect (sunny, temp in the 60’s and no wind) and made the journey very enjoyable, riding through the shady countryside. My only criticism was the public restrooms along the route were locked. Maybe it was because it was a weekday. I had to find businesses that allowed me to use their facilities. But with the trail being in friendly South Louisiana, that was easy to do. I highly recommend this bike trail to anyone interested. Word of warning, if you make the ride during the summer months, be aware the South Louisiana summers can be brutal with temps in the 90’s and high humidity. So dress appropriately and bring plenty of fluids to drink! Otherwise, go for it and enjoy this great South Louisiana adventure!
