点评：I went two route Cheriton to Alresford and then tried Winchester to Itchen Abbas. Should not describe itself as a long distance path, what a mess. The signage was poor, parts hopefully overgrown. Nearly all the Cheriton path had no view of the river. The path in Winchester had no signs. As you began to leave the city.a path was labelled closed to Kings Worthy with a diversion on a busy main road. No more signs were places anywhere. We reached a large roundabout with no pedestrian access to pick up any path further along. We ended up picking our way through two blocked large industrial estates and back. Any chance we had of picking up an alternative route involved walking back along the smoggy road a mile and a half. We gave up as it was late by then. If the path isnt to be properly sign posted or maintained, it should be not advertised at all.
翻译：我走了两条路线：一条是从切里顿到阿尔雷斯福德，另一条是从温彻斯特到伊钦阿巴斯。这条路线实在称不上是长途步道，简直一团糟。路标极少，有些路段恐怕都荒芜无人烟了。几乎整段从切里顿出发的路线都看不到河流的踪迹。温彻斯特境内的路段则完全没有路标。刚一离开城区，就有一条小路被标记为“对前往金斯沃西的行人封闭”，此时只能绕行一条车流密集的主干道。此后就再也看不到任何路标了。我们来到了一个大型环岛，但那里没有供行人通行的路径可以继续前行。最后我们只好在两个被封锁的大型工业区中艰难穿行，然后再折返。若想另寻路线，就只能沿着烟雾弥漫的公路往回走一英里半。由于当时天色已晚，我们只好放弃。如果这条小径既没有妥善的标志指引，也得不到维护，那就根本不该对外宣传才对。
