Gorgeous like at St. Arnaud in the Nelson Lakes NP

点评：This is one of the beautiful bodies of water that make up the Nelson Lakes National Park. It is the closest to the town of St. Arnaud and the National Park Visitor Centre and convenient to visit and spend time while visiting the area.
There are a couple of jetties that are popular for photo taking on the shores of Lake Rotoiti. The first is south of the main Visitor Centre near the Kerr Bay Campground. We found quite a few other visitors here and less opportunity to take the famous picture of the lake with the jetty in the foreground. For quieter and less crowded conditions, you can try to find the other Jetty at the Buller Campground on the east side of the lake. There were just a few people there when we passed by and to be honest, the photos were very nice from this location as well.
You'll find a variety of hiking trails of various distance and difficulty at and around Lake Rotoiti as well as mountain hikes within the National Park that take in outstanding elevated views of the lake. We completed the Mt. Robert Circuit and really enjoyed seeing Lake Rotoiti from the trek as we made our way up and back down. Seems swimming, fishing and boat taxis are possibilities for those interested as well.
