Bellymack Hill Farm - Kite Feeding Station的点评
点评：We have been here many times and it is always a treat.
This is a working farm with a love for nature.
The farmer has been feeding the red kites for many years, and only feeds them roadkill, which local authorities bring to them. They are fed at 3pm every day during winter, but alter by an hour in spring, as the kites haven't got wrist watches!
The building is light and airy, the balcony outside a good size. You can buy hot drinks and snacks and there are gifts to purchase.
But where this place beats all the other red kite feeding stations, including Gigrin in Wales, is the close proximity city to the kites. For a good hour or more before feeding, the kites begin to gather, soaring low over the area and sitting in the trees. They are so low it's unbelievable.
Once the farmer walks out to feed them, all hell breaks out. As they scatter the food, the kites begin swooping down to grab the food, literally feet from you. It is an amazing experience, we have seen as many as 400 kites on one of our visits.
Well worth the trip, and very reasonable entry price, March 2026 the cost is £7.50 per person. So for £20 you can get entry for two plus a mug of tea each. And you can spend hours here.
