点评：What an absolutely incredible culinary adventure for my family! From start to finish, every moment was a blast, and Julia was the perfect guide. She’s a true expert when it comes to the best food spots in San Antonio and beyond, and she made sure we had the inside scoop on the city’s hidden gems.
We kicked off our food tour at the Pearl District, starting with Cured. Julia picked out a mouthwatering selection of specialties, including smoked duck, crispy quail legs, savory cured meats, pickled vegetables, cheeses, mustards, and jams. And her recommendation to try their gin and tonic? A total hit! It was so good, we came back two days later for more.
Next stop: Ladino, a fantastic Mediterranean restaurant. We dove into a meze platter that had us all hooked—spicy feta, sweet and savory muhammara, Za’atar-dusted labneh, and hummus served with warm, homemade sourdough pita. The flavors were unbelievable! We then enjoyed kibbeh, beef and lamb dumplings, vegetable dishes, and the showstopper: a yogurt dessert that tasted like a perfect love child between crème brûlée and French toast. Seriously, yum!
We wrapped up the tour at Pullman’s Market, where we went for ice cream and left with several loaves of the bakery’s forbidden rice and sesame seed sourdough bread—definitely a new family favorite.
Throughout the evening, Julia made sure we met the chefs and drink masters behind the magic, all while sharing fascinating stories about how the Pearl Brewery transformed into the culinary hub it is today.
