Wake Up Reykjavik的点评
点评：We traveled to Iceland in the last week of January and were very excited to join the South of Iceland tour. The landscapes were absolutely majestic and breathtaking every stop we visited was truly outstanding. Iceland itself did not disappoint.
Unfortunately, our experience was affected by the tour guide’s attitude and communication style. While he was not rude, the way he spoke often felt condescending. He repeatedly emphasized what he could not do rather than focusing on creating a positive experience. For example, when someone asked if we could go Northern Lights hunting after arriving at the hotel, his response was that he needed to conserve his energy to drive the next day. Comments like this were disappointing to hear during what is supposed to be an enjoyable vacation.
One of the main reasons I booked this specific tour even though there were cheaper options available was because I read reviews mentioning that the guide arranged Northern Lights hunting at night. I even chose Wake Up Reykjavík expecting that this would be part of the experience. The possibility of seeing the Northern Lights was a major factor in my decision.
I completely understand that guides have schedules and safety responsibilities. However, as paying customers, we also expect enthusiasm and a service oriented attitude. We don’t need to hear about limitations framed in a negative way especially when we’ve invested our hard earned money into this trip.
Iceland was incredible, but the overall experience could have been much better with a more engaging and customer-focused approach.
