点评：I visited White Pond in August 2026. The experience was pretty unpleasant—crowds of people and dogs, loud noise (with different music blasting from every corner), and filth (people litter both on the shore and in the water—cans, chip bags, ice cream cups. They leave behind damaged inflatables, wet underwear, diapers...). There were no parking spaces, and everyone was jostling to inflate their inflatables and squeeze their way to the ramp. At the ramp, children were splashing around in mud and seaweed alongside a couple of dogs. The water was murky and brown, and the shallows were completely choked with seaweed, making swimming impossible. After getting out of the water, my whole body was covered in the silt and muck suspended in it. If this is what city dwellers consider "recreation in nature," then I feel sorry for them...
