点评:Visited Statfold Country Park for the first time. We only live 12 miles away, but had never heard of it before. Saw the Road, Rail & Ale festival advertised on Social Media and so decided to give it a go. What a fantastic day and worth every penny!
Parking was easy and very well organised. The entry price included access to the train museum, the Victorian fairground museum, train rides, and the event itself. There was so much to see and do. I really liked the main arena and the organisation and running of the events for the day which included the vintage bus parade, the dancing JCB diggers, the steam traction engines, and classic car procession. Also lots of trade stalls to browse and a good selection of food vans. On top of all of that you could walk around the massive field to see many more traction engines, motorbikes and classic cars spanning across all decades. Of course the day would not be complete without a visit to the real ale stand to samples some beers.
The park itself would definitely be worth a visit even without the Road, Rail & Ale event, but we will be returning for sure again next year.
