点评:The woodlands at Moggerhanger are a pleasant spot for a spring stroll. In February there are drifts of snowdrops. It takes about an hour to explore the woodland paths. The woodland paths were all easy to walk on and well maintained, despite the exceptionally wet weather recently. There had also been efforts to clear brambles since our last visit, with the snowdrops benefiting. Soon there will be daffodils in the woodland, followed in April by bluebells.
In terms of practicalities - the park is open daily 10-4. Parking is free. Presently, the cafe is open Thursday to Sunday at the same times. There are toilets available at the cafe and a small museum with a display about the parks' rich history.
The cafe is friendly, spacious and not noisy, with a cheerful vintage decoration. The food is fine with jacket potatoes, soups, cakes etc. The cakes and soups were clearly bought in rather than home made. The vegetarian choice was limited and the only vegan option was a jacket.
