月光保护区野生保护公园的点评
点评：We went on Moonlit Sanctuary’s night tour and it was awesome! This was our third visit to a sanctuary while in Australia and we were still getting to see new animals we hadn’t seen before.
This tour is especially great if you’re into up-close experiences with the animals. We had ample opportunity to handfeed kangaroos and wallabys including the beefy western gray kangaroo male Curtis. We learned male fur has a strong scent that some people think smells like curry or maple syrup. I won’t commit to either of those interpretations of the smell, but it was certainly strong and distinctive!
We also got to feed squirrel gliders nectar, see reptiles, a wombat, owls, birds, koalas and pet some potaroos while they were feeding.
There were a lot of kids on our particular tour so it definitely leaned heavier towards the experiences than the detailed scientific facts. However, my wife and I asked our guide a lot of questions throughout the tour and she seemed happy and excited to answer them and share more info.
Definitely worth the trip and I would highly recommend this tour!
