My Favorite Stop in All of Ireland

点评：I got to experience Atlantic Sheepdogs as part of my Irish Adventure tour run by CIE Tours (you can read my review of the amazing Irish Adventure tour on CIE’s TripAdvisor page). I am so delighted that I got to visit Atlantic Sheepdogs.
This was hands-down my favorite stop of the entire 9-day tour. We got to watch the incredible Mo, a tiny but mighty Border Collie, show off her skills…and she was absolutely amazing! Mo ranks in the top 10 out of around 600 sheepdogs from across Ireland and the UK, and it was easy to see why. She clearly loves what she does and is unbelievably good at it.
Her handler, Martin, had her separate three sheep from the herd, and she did it with total precision and ease. It was fascinating to watch that level of communication and teamwork. As a bonus, Mo was also incredibly sweet and seemed to take a special liking to one of our group, which made the experience even more fun.
After the demonstration, we got to meet some of the sheep up close, including a few special breeds. One in particular just wanted to cuddle and be petted… she was the sweetest! I even got to hold a baby lamb, which completely made my day.
This experience was fun, interactive, and unforgettable. If you’re anywhere near Sligo, do not miss this. It’s something really special!
