Corfu Old Town的点评
点评：Looking at some negative reviews, I don’t think it’s fair for tourists to give one star and to blame any town that it was “touristy”, and that the airport had “massive crowds”, LOL!
But I have to agree with a couple of complaints: first, because of hills and lots of steps it’s probably not fun to visit with kids - I think it's better as romantic destination for couples; second, it looks like I am not the only one who encountered an unpleasant shop keeper. In my case, it was a souvenir shop, full of interesting stuff, where I seriously considered to save good money buying a leather wallet, but the salesman (the owner?) was behaving like I am wasting his precious time, so I left disappointed.
Now, the good stuff: I found the harbor views very nice, and the Old Town walkable, charming and safe, including after dark. It’s full of character, Venetian-style streets and courtyards, and the food in those restaurants where we ate was either delicious or very decent (keep in mind, places with sea views have prices comparable with Western capitals). It seemed to me it was more beneficial to start any contact with locals with a few phrases in Greek – helps to get friendly.
The stroll along the waterfront is very pleasant in good weather, and that New Fortress is just enormous – wow, is it the largest in Europe?!
The last thing: if you plan the sightseeing cruise from the port, give yourself an ample time to figure out where to enter, how to buy tickets, find your pier and boat, etc.

再说说好的方面：我觉得海港景色很美，老城区也适合步行游览，很有魅力，而且很安全，即使天黑以后也很安全。这里充满特色，街道和庭院都颇具威尼斯风情。我们去过的几家餐厅，食物要么美味可口，要么也相当不错（不过要注意，海景餐厅的价格和西方国家的首都差不多）。我觉得用几句希腊语和当地人交流会更有帮助——这样更容易拉近彼此的距离。
天气好的时候，沿着海滨漫步非常惬意。新堡垒真是太大了——哇，它是欧洲最大的堡垒吗？！
最后一点：如果您计划从港口乘坐观光游船，请务必预留充足的时间，以便弄清楚从哪里上船、如何购票、找到您的码头和游船等等。
