Nice little museum, especially if you're into Grecía Salentina
Casa Museo della Civiltà Contadina e della Cultura Grika的点评
点评：It's a real gem, this small museum, which is nestled in the town of Calimera, in the heart of Grecía Salentina.
Staying in Salento and being Greek speakers we did a tour of some of the 12 little towns where Greek speaking people settled and ended our tour in this museum.
The owner was about to close down for the evening, but opened it for us and did us a tour telling us some really interesting facts and stories.
It was interesting to find out that Griko was still a living languge - he said that he himself was speaking in Griko and the local Lecce dialect of Italian with his family and friends, and learned Italian only later on at school.
It was interesting to hear differences between today's Greek and the Griko. In the exhibition there are also some written examples (poem etc.) where you can see the differences and similitudes.
At the entrance afterwards there are also some books that you can buy (in Italian or eve in Greek) on the topics of the museum.
