A very special Husky Interaction. We would visit them again.

点评：This activity is part of the Santa Claus Village. There is no cost to visit Santa Claus Village, however there is a fee to access different activities throughout the park.
We got entry tickets for HuskyPark plus tickets for a Meet and Greet with the Huskies for €60 (approximately $120 AUD) for 2 adults. YES it is expensive, and YES it is very touristy as is the whole of Santa Claus Village (and most of Rovaniemi); however do your research, make a decision and hopefully then you will avoid disappointment (like I’ve seen in others reviews).
The Meet and Greet activity was well worth the fee and you were able pat, scratch, feed treats and interact with both husky puppies and dogs for about 30 minutes. If you are dog people, then we would highly recommend this.
You can visit other huskies in the kennels and do dog sledding in the HuskyPark, but we just wanted to play with the huskies. There is a cafe and toilets near the exit of the park.
In case people are worried about animal abuse, the sledding is part of what the huskies do. Yes the huskies are in cage, big size and plenty of space for them to move and run around. Each has their own wooden kennel with hay as the base. All very clean and dogs were responsive to human interaction. The huskies had their own play toys (kongs) in the cage. Additionally they have regular social interaction with other huskies and humans.
You can buy your tickets directly at HuskyPark, or through the Information Centre near the gifts shops at Santa Claus Village.
Definitely rug up in winter, you will need to remove your gloves when interacting with the huskies. Consider carrying hand sanitiser or wipes for cleaning hands after the Meet and Greet.
