Amazing experience up with Lorens on my sunrise climb

点评：Exhausting but worth every step and every tumble 😬
I did the sunrise climb with Lorens (+62 853‑3350‑5160). He is a great guide, very experienced on the slopes, and sets a good pace, yet, helpful if you need support. He’s been doing it since 2008 and I was comfortable to do the climb up with him.
The tour started at 2:30 am . He picked me up from town and after paying the foreigner entry fee (IDR 100k) , we climbed up.
The first part (up to the end of the tree line) was easier, but the second part up to stage 2, and beyond was quite a challenge .
We got sunrise about 2/3 the way up as I needed more time and had to take breaks, but it was amazing .
Got to the top at 7:10 am and got to see the famous triangle shadow cast on the west side of the mountain.
The walk down was more like sliding down the slope for a good 700-800 m drop. It’s was fun initially, but it does require some balance and breaks . Loads of slips and tumbles later, and after being completely covered with the mountain mud, we reached the tree line , and then it was a regular trek down.
Total climb time for me - 3 am - 10 am with a summit at 7:10am . I am a moderate paced climber, so start early if you are like me and want to get up for the sunrise.

下山的过程简直就像沿着斜坡滑下来一样，足足下降了700到800米。一开始还挺有趣的，但实际上需要保持平衡并时不时停下来休息。最后我摔了好几次，滑倒无数次。当全身完全被山上的泥土覆盖后，我们终于到达了林木线，之后就是一段常规的下行路程了。
对我来说，整个攀登时间是从凌晨3点到上午10点，在早上7点10分登顶。我的攀登速度属于中等水平，所以如果你也和我一样希望看到日出，那就早点出发吧。
