点评:Knowing that Lake Mashu is often shrouded in thick mist, hiding its legendary blue waters, we arrived with no expectations.
We were incredibly lucky.
As the lake revealed itself on our approach to Observation Deck No. 3, the sight seemed almost otherworldly. No photograph or description can really do it justice.
It suddenly became clear why Lake Mashu is known as the 'Lake of the Gods.'
We stood there in absolute awe, mesmerised by its extraordinary beauty. There was nothing to say. We simply stood and took it in, reluctant to leave.
Fortunately, there were very few people on the observation deck, which made the moment even more tranquil.
We overheard a couple saying that this was far more beautiful than Observation Deck No. 1. When we visited No. 1 later, we came to exactly the same conclusion — and were rather glad that we had inadvertently chosen the right order.
Observation Deck No. 3 not only offers a much better view of the lake, but also comes without parking charges, shops and tour buses.
Just the lake.
Just the silence.
And a sight we will hold dear for the rest of our lives.
