Very nice Santorini wines!

点评：I had been told by a friend that this winery had closed down last year but during our stay on Santorini last week, I came across a recent review so I checked Google and sure enough they were open the next day. We took the bus into Fira from Pyrgos and walked the 10 min over to the winery from the bus station drop off. I was a little worried walking up to the driveway and building because it did indeed look deserted from the out side and in serious need of a new coat of paint, some improved landscaping and other maintenance. However, once you walk through the front door it was a beehive of activity as numerous servers were setting up for their day and judging from all the plates and glasses (there's a restaurant there, too) it appeared we made it in time to avoid the crowds coming in later that day.
We ordered 4 different glasses of their white rather than doing a traditional tasting. All 4 were very different ranging in price from 8 Euros a glass to about 25 Euros, if memory serves. There's wonderful citrus and acidity to all of them with a decidedly bright lime finish, but then again these were all pretty young wines and all you have to do with Santorini whites of give them a couple of years to age and they can change dramatically. We did not sample any food during our visit.
