San Angelo State Park的点评
点评：Nice park. There are two sections, the South Shore where you check in along with the longhorn and bison herds and the majority of camping, then the north shore where the good stuff is at along with camping and the equestrian campgrounds. On the north shore are miles of trails which by the way start inside the Equestrian entrance at the bell's trailhead. Up here you will see tons of prickly pear cactus as far as the eye can see. Never saw so much in one place. It is also here that along the dinosaur trail you will reach Little Foot Draw. there are supposed to be roughly 165 trackways of the Permian Dimetrodon a reptile that lived 100 million years before the dinosaurs. Unfortunately, the day we did the hike was after a couple days of heavy rain so the draw was full of water and the tracks were not visible beneath the murky water. The Slick Rock area was also interesting. On the south shore where we camped are some nice camping areas that were well paced and quiet.. The sad thing about this park is that the lake is going dry. It was only 16% full when we visited. They just can't get enough rain in the area.
