点评：Canoeing on the Dordogne in this area was a highlight of our trip and a must do in my opinion. There are many canoe companies to choose from. Canoe Vacances is laid back. We arrived early, they gave us life vests, a sealed tub for our belongings , told us what to look for along the route so we knew where to stop and sent us on our way. They have a snack bar and a restroom. I had never done this so I think I was expecting more instruction but honestly , it wasn’t needed. It’s easy, and straightforward even for a novice. There is a shuttle bus to take you back to the starting point at the end of your route every 45 min so you can dawdle if you have extra time.
This is THE BEST way to see the beautiful village of La Roque Gageac giving you views you can’t see from land. We saw swans and other birds along the way too.
