点评：We visited the Visitor Centre quite a bit while exploring Dawson a few weeks ago, and they were really great. They have very nice displays including good short videos in the back; a lot of information on local events happening that week/month, local weather for Dawson as well as Tombstone and Dempster Highway drive; anytime we spoke to the staff they were very helpful, friendly and a trove of local information. We ended up booking 3 different Parks Canada trips via the Visitor Centre, and they were really well run, rain or shine, and genuinely very enjoyable. We did the S.S.Keno tour, the Dredger No. 4 tour (you have to drive 20 minutes out of town for this one), and the historic walking tour of Dawson, which covered 3 historic buildings that are otherwise closed up and not accessible outside those tours (a bank, post office, and a saloon). All three were really great, and we were pleased we managed to squeeze in all of them. The only surprise was the fact that their website was not up to date for the Summer tour schedule, i.e. there were additional afternoon tours that were not listed on the website, but available through the Visitor Centre. I’d recommend a quick visit there as soon as you get to Dawson to check what’s available during your stay. Highly recommended!
