Disappointing Experience
The Club at Bond Head的点评
点评：Just finished a golf weekend with three brothers over three days at three different courses. After playing at Midland Golf and Country Club and the Lake St George Golf Course—both of which were terrific in terms of golf experience, amenities and value—the last course we played was Bondhead. Personally, I was excited to play the highly touted South Course after hearing so many good things about the track.
To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. On arrival, they explain that you cannot take a cart to the range. Plus, you are forced to hit off mats. Surprising for sure, no doubt an annoyance to many for what is billed as a “high end golf experience”, but not game-breakers. Then you get to the course. Many of the greens had some form of fungus killing the grass and the fairways on several holes were not well groomed. The bunkers looked to have been left unattended for days and not well taken care of at all. Lastly, it was well over 35 degrees and no refreshment cart was available. Plus, there was no water on the course. None! The halfway house closed early (2pm-maybe 2:30pm) so no hydration available there either.
To be frank, I expected more. Suffice to say I would not return nor would I recommend the course to others. There are other courses within a short drive just as good, well managed, and in better shape with amenities that deliver a premium golf experience. Sadly, Bondhead does not.
