Enjoyable, peaceful walk.
Mere Sands Wood Nature Reserve的点评
点评：The car park is quite large and I was pleased to see that they charge a flat rate of £4, which goes towards the upkeep of the reserve.
There are 3 well marked routes to follow. As we both suffer with our knees, we opted for the blue route of 1.25 miles which is flat all the way around the reserve.
The paths are well maintained with plenty of benches to sit for a rest if needed.
Quite peaceful except for when you pass the kennels.
Only gripe was that a couple of hides had no benches to sit on.
Had a coffee in the cafe, was good but self service from a machine, not the best for the amount charged, but there again helps maintain the place.
Quite a nice shop selling new children’s toys and games, along with good selection of second hand books.
Overall an enjoyable visit and I’d like to visit during each season to see the changes in scenery.
