点评：We caught the Euskotren twice on our trip to the Basque country. Firstly from Hendaye to San Sebastián, and then 3 days later from San Sebastián to Bilbao. Both time we got tickets at the departure station from the ticket machines snd paid using our phones. Really straight forward process. The trains were safe and very clean. The train from Hendaye was crowded and took around 35 minutes as it stops at a number of small stations along the way. No allocated luggage storage space so if you have a small bag, that will fit under your seat but large suitcases will not. Seats are on the hard side! The trip from San Sebastián to Bilbao was 2.5 hours but we were in no rush and enjoyed the scenery. This train was not crowded at all, and the journey passed quite quickly. You arrive right on the edge of the old town - get off at ZAZPIKALEAK/CASCO VIEJO-BILBAO. Remember this is a local train so sit back and enjoy the journey.
