点评：I can’t talk enough about this hike and our guide. Not only was the view beautiful, John went out of his way to make this trip special for us. He picked our ascent/descent after meeting us. On the ascent up Devils ladder he stopped many times at scenic points to capture beautiful couples photos for us. As a moderate hiker from the states, I felt extremely comfortable with him guiding my footwork in steeper/trickier spots. He never pushed us to be faster. On the descent, he plotted out a course that allowed us to see more and climb more than what the normal hike / more straight forward hike would entail. It felt like he went out of his way to make sure we saw the best sights. There were some points we would never have felt comfortable attempting without his expertise, but we didn’t even notice until after, because we felt confident in his ability to lead. As a geologist, I loved discussing the mountain formations with him, and his passion for the landscape was inspiring.
