点评：Where do we start? My wife and I considered attempting the Gibb River Rd on our own and then almost committed to a group tour - but we stumbled across Scotty and Taminga at the last minute. I don’t want to throw shade on people who want their independence or enjoy group tours, but I have absolutely no doubt that the experiences we had and the things we saw could not be achieved on a tightly scheduled group tour or on our own.
The local knowledge that Scotty shared from a lifetime in the region, to the respect and involvement in indigenous culture, made this an unmatched holiday.
Scotty’s experience and contacts saw us accessing extremely remote locations, exclusive access to waterholes and the knowledge to find the special spots and the extraordinary rock art that are simply not known about to most.
Then a couple of days on their boat on the Ord river where we felt like we were the only people on the planet in the most magnificent and remote location- but staying in luxury.
If you can manage to book Scotty as your personal guide in the Kimberley, do not hesitate.
