点评:We parked our motorhome in the car park at Espiunca got a taxi to Areinho and walked back. We were in our mid 60’s and even given the hot weather found the walk well within our capability. The initial climb is steep and long but it fine if you pace yourself. We had booked to cross the Arouca suspension bridge first (definitely recommend, as it involves stunning views - as long as you are okay with height and exposure.) the climb down to the river again is hard on older knees but the views are again stunning. The riverside walk is wonderful with lots of opportunity to stop and enjoy the view. We looked forward to an ice cream at the halfway point beach - sadly it was closed 😢 we we went ( so take loads of water) . We had or ice cream and a beer at the end of the walk. 👏👏 . We were allowed to stay overnight in the cafe car park for free. A really great experience overall.
