Huck Finn's Playland的点评
点评：Like many people of the capital region I grew up with Hoffman’s Playland and I was so happy to see it continue as Huck Finn’s Playland. It was a chance to see the park continue and share it with my child.
However, the park has gone down hill greatly. The last few times I’ve gone they don’t appear to have enough staff and several rides are closed each time.
In July 2025 I went with my family. We were making the most of it hitting the rides we could when I got on the big Ferris wheel with my daughter. The ride went fine. When it came time to exit the employee kept pulling the car back, stopping it, pulled it back more, stopping it, etc. I thought it was weird how far the car was brought back.
My daughter got up no problem but the second I stood up the car, which was not properly secured, swung out from under me, dropping my onto my right knee onto the concrete under the platform I was supposed to be on.
The employees didn’t help me. The one who was operating the Ferris wheel just screamed, “it swung out from under her!” But offered no assistance beyond just staring in shock.
No one got a manager. No one helped me up or to walk. We spoke to a manager (after we went up on our own) and left for urgent care. Since then I’ve seen my doctor, a specialist and had an MRI to check the injury to make sure everything was ok and my knee had no micro tears.
I’ve been emailing and called Huck Finn’s about this hoping to get my medical bills reimbursed but no one is calling me back or emailing. I’ve received only silence.
I wouldn’t trust Huck Finn’s Playland ever again.
