Great spot , super windy , good centre could be a problem if from uk without VDWS Certificate

点评：Firstly it’s a great spot , we stayed at the Palm Royale and it’s right next door, the centre is well equipped with latest windsurfing, kite and winging gear , good rigging area and plenty of staff , the sailing area is flat water with a shallow lagoon before you get to the deep water , it was great wind everyday up to 35 knots the wind just didn’t stop .
If you are from uk like myself the issue you will encounter is the requirement to have the VDWS Basic Licence , something people in UK have probably never heard of,I took my own gear I’m an experienced wing foiler and it still caused an issue , if you don’t have this you can forget about being able to hire anything without completing and paying for a course, i got the impression you can’t use the bay at all without it , I paid €35 to register for the course and €120 to store my gear , I never ended up doing the test and nobody pursued me to do it so I may have just been lucky , my 2 sons tried to hire a more suitable wingfoil board for the shallows but it was a no go without a €350 course , if you have some sort of RYA certificate it might help best contact them before you go .
