点评:Kabuki can be intimidating for first-timers, especially if you don’t speak Japanese—but Kazui made the entire experience absolutely fantastic.
Her pre-performance introduction was outstanding: clear, engaging, and incredibly informative. She explained the history of kabuki, the significance of the makeup, costumes, and music, and walked us through the acts so we knew exactly what to watch for. This completely transformed the performance from something potentially confusing into something deeply enjoyable and fascinating.
Kazui also helped secure excellent seats near the hanamichi, close enough to see the actors’ expressions clearly (and she even provides binoculars). Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of.
Thanks to Kazui, kabuki became one of the highlights of my trip, and I’d happily see another performance in the future. Highly, highly recommended for anyone even remotely curious about kabuki.
And don't forget the taiyaki! I've never had taiyaki with crispy bits until Kazui recommended that to me.
