Disappointing Sunday Lunch
The New Inn的点评
点评：This is a really smart pub with a traditional feel. There are always a good range of cask ales to try and we have always, previously enjoyed our visits there so we decided to call in for Sunday lunch and were really disappointed.
We ordered traditional roast beef with all the trimmings and, despite quite a long wait of 30 minutes were excited to see a nicely presented plate of food, with, the bonus of separate gravy jugs rather than everything swimming in it.
Then the negatives. The plates were only tepid resulting in cold food, there were two good slices of beef but it wasn’t roasted, it had been cooked and warmed up and was very tough with lots of grizzle. Yorkshire pudding was good as was the red cabbage and French beans but the cauliflower cheese must have been cooked days ago because it was just a mush and being on a cold plate a cold mush.
Sorry this was not the best the New Inn has to offer.
