点评：Cinque Torri-- the Five Towers -- is certainly one of the most magnificent vistas on the planet. And the World War I armaments around the base of the peaks form an open- air museum. They are well preserved and fascinating.
But it is crowded. Here is one idea for how to enjoy it during high summer when the days are long, if you are strong hikers.
Take one of the last gondolas to the top (gondola closes at 5 pm in June 2026). After the last gondola left, we had the entire mountaintop mostly to ourselves. We only saw 3 or 4 other hikers.
It takes about 90 minutes or more to circumnavigate the five peaks. Each twist in the trail offers transcendent views. The light in the late afternoon can be beautiful and great for photography. It is unearthly gorgeous and serene up there without crowds.
To walk back down to the parking lot at the base of the gondola takes about 90 minutes. Find the service road behind the mountaintop lodge and follow it down. About 2/3 of the way to the bottom a forest path on the left will lead you back to the parking at the base of the gondola. The path is marked Parcheggio Bai de Dones.
Be sure to leave enough time to get down before dark.
