Proper Hidden Gem! Or maybe I’ve lived under a rock.

点评：Visited here with my family (Wife and 3 kids) on what was an overcast, Saturday.
Car park was plentiful. My wife and I got in for free as we are Carers/with our Access Cards.
This place is absolutely brilliant. The kids loved it, we loved it. Everything looks new/new-ish and is cared for and looked after (The animals, the playground equipment and Cafes alike).
It was busy but we weren’t on top of other families, you could breathe and felt you had space. Some areas were loud but there are other alternatives, especially if you have neurodiverse kids.
The fact you could walk amongst the animals was what makes this place special and it blew the kids away. Being fair, it’s not as big as Twycross or other wildlife parks and it doesn’t have as many animals - but we had way more fun here than any of the others! The different paths leading to different places made it feel bigger than it is and stopped the kids from getting bored by retracing their steps constantly or having a mad rush to the next exhibit. Another thing I appreciated was the number of viewing areas and platforms as it didn’t pack families on top of each other and there were no waiting around to get a view.
I’m glad we found this ‘hidden’ gem and we would and will definitely be returning.
